My 4-year blogiversary!

Mar 01 2016 Published by under blogging, Decisions, role models, science

Four years ago today, I published my first blog post. Since then quite a bit has changed: I had another baby, I moved, I quit academia and I'm still busy figuring out what I want in my current job.

To celebrate my blog-birthday, I'd like to know a bit more about you, my dear reader! Please comment (or de-lurk) and tell me about:

  1. who you are
  2. how you found my blog and how long you've been reading here
  3. what you like and don't like about my blog

    Happy blogiversary!

I'm a PF blogger who probably knew of you through Nicole and Maggie but started following you on twitter relatively recently and so am far too new a reader to have input on likes and dislikes 🙂

I found your blog when I first started tweeting science in 2013. I believe @katiesci and @SciTriGrrl led me to you through twitter, then I followed your posts about leaving academia.

I have zero complaints about your blog posts! I love reading the world through your lens; it's been a great ride so far (warts and all). Looking forward to another 4 years.

I'm a former academic post-doc who also has recently moved over to an industry position.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea when I first started reading your blog. It was definitely before you moved over to Scientopia. I would guess I found you via comments on other blog we must have both followed.

I like reading your blog to hear about your experiences, both as a post-doc, and now in industry. It's fun to compare notes. Plus, we're both electrophysiologists, which means we're awesome.

    No complaints!

I am a career-uncertain postdoc also blogging on scientopia 🙂 I've been reading your blog for a long time and I don't remember how I found it. I like everything!
